Terms of Use

Last updated October 7, 2026

These terms cover your use of GenMazes.com. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. Mazes you generate are free

Mazes you create with GenMazes are free to use for any purpose, personal, educational or commercial. You may print them, hand them out in class, sell them in puzzle books, worksheets, activity books, games, apps and merchandise, and change them however you like. No attribution is required.

To the extent GenMazes holds any rights in a generated maze, those rights are dedicated to the public domain under the Creative Commons CC0 1.0 Universal dedication.

Because anyone using the same settings and seed gets the same maze, no one receives exclusive rights in a maze layout from GenMazes. Your own artwork, text, titles and book design that you add around a maze remain yours.

2. The website and software

The GenMazes website, including its software, source code, maze generation methods, design, text, graphics, name and logo, is owned by GenMazes.com and protected by copyright and other laws. All rights are reserved. The free use described in section 1 applies to the mazes you generate, not to the website or its code.

You may not copy, modify, redistribute, resell or host the GenMazes software or website, or create a competing service from it, without written permission.

3. Privacy

How GenMazes handles information is described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Acceptable use

5. Donations

Donations are voluntary and do not buy any product, service or special rights. They are not refundable except where the law requires.

6. No warranty

GenMazes is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. You are responsible for checking every maze before you publish or print it, especially after manual wall edits.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, GenMazes.com is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits or revenue, arising from your use of the site or any maze.

8. Changes

These terms may be updated from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
