GenMazes.com is a free maze generator. We built it to collect as little information as possible. This policy explains what little is processed, why, and the choices you have.
1. Summary
- There are no accounts, sign-ups or forms.
- Mazes are generated entirely in your browser. Your settings and mazes are never sent to us.
- We do not use analytics or tracking tools.
- Fonts and images are served from our own site, not from third parties.
2. Information stored in your browser
If you switch between light and dark mode, the site saves that choice in your browser's local storage so the site remembers it next time. It stays on your device and is never sent to us. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
3. Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted by Netlify. Like any website host, Netlify automatically processes technical data when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Netlify handles this data under its own privacy policy.
4. Donations
If you choose to support GenMazes, the payment is handled entirely by the donation platform you use, such as Ko-fi. We never see your card details. The platform may share your name, email address, message and the amount with us so we can thank you. We use this only to manage donations and never sell it.
5. Children
GenMazes is designed for use by everyone, including teachers and children in classrooms. The site does not ask for, and we do not knowingly collect, personal information from children or anyone else.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, including Quebec under Law 25 and the European Union under the GDPR, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information about you, and to withdraw consent. Because we hold almost no personal information, most requests can be answered quickly. Contact us using the address below.

8. Changes to this policy
If we add a new service that processes information, such as analytics or advertising, we will update this policy before it goes live and change the date at the top of this page.
